Course Description

Cranial Sacral Balancing II: the visceral cranium

Cranial 1 introduced participants to the palpatory curiosity that lies at the heart of this extraordinary work. Cultivating a light and non-aggressive touch, along with the formation of the state of mind
that allows for it, forms the basis of every aspect of the techniques that are then introduced.

Students will be comfortable with these mindfulness and meditative approaches adopted in Level I and will expect to deepen their connection to them in this next level. In Level 2, these approaches, of self-exploration, space awareness and communication are kept deliberately and consistently in the foreground. It's only after this self-awareness is deepened that new techniques are introduced.

The techniques are for the facial bones — in essence we are finding ways to allow those bones to float freely on the fluid tides of the body. Approaches to working skillfully with emotional flooding, disassociation and confusion are discussed and explored.

Foci
1. increased self awareness through mindfulness
2. palpatory exercises to bring full awareness to touch
3. the emotions and how to work with them
